Shower of the Day
Occasionally, Hillcrest Glass project managers are tasked with measuring for custom glass showers that present unique challenges. In this instance, there were two stipulations that we needed to consider:
First and foremost, we had to ensure that the door’s out-swing would not strike the toilet. Fairly simple in this case. Secondly, we need to make certain that this shower was code compliant. No shower glass can sit closer than 15” to the center of the toilet. By slightly adjusting where our measurements were taken on the curb, we ascertained that positioning the glass 3/16” closer to the inside would provide our installers the necessary gap required between the toilet. All of these measurements become more challenging when the toilet is not yet installed during the final, onsite measure.
Nevertheless, everything worked out spectacularly!
